Bernard Tschumi (born 25 January 1944) is an architect and educator commonly associated with deconstructivism. The son of the famous French-Swiss architect Jean Chumy, he lives in New York City and Paris. He studied at the Swiss Federal Institutes of Technology in Paris and Zurich, graduating in 1969 with a degree in architecture.
Tschumi has taught at the Portsmouth Institute of Technology in Portsmouth, UK, the Architectural Institute of London, the Institute of Architecture and Urban Studies, New York, Princeton University, and Cooper, New York. served. He graduated from the Graduate School of Architectural Planning and Conservation. His first notable project was Parc de la Villette, which he won in 1983.
